GLR State Days for 2021

Illinois State Day

The Waterfall Glen Chapter hosted the 2021 Illinois State Day on 4 Saturdays from May 15 to June 5, 2021. Dawn Donnelly taught Witch Hilda's Tree, a project that included Star Octagon, French Knot, Buttonhole, Medallion, Eyelet, Palace Pattern, Bucky's Weaving, Fly and Wrapped Stem Stitch on 18 count Mono Canvas. Classes were held as virtual Zoom workshops.

Wisconsin State Day

The Madison Area Embroiderers' Guild hosted the 2021 Wisconsin State Day on June 18-19, 2021. Canby Robertson, a lifetime member of EGA, and Master Craftsman status in crewel embroidery led the course. Bess's Bed Hangings is a study of traditional English crewel embroidery and included many stitches not familiar to American embroidery.
