GLR State Days for 2016
Wisconsin State Day
The Fox Valley Chapter hosted the 2016 Wisconsin State Day on August 19-20, 2016. Toni Gerdes taught Autumn 3-Ways, an Intermediate Needlepoint project.
Maple leaves are stitched three different ways in this new design, including padded applique, laid filling patterns, and needle felting. A five band stitched border frames the 10" x 10" design.
The event was held at the Best Western Premier Bridgewood Resort Hotel and Conference Center in Neenah, WI.
Illinois State Day
Waterfall Glen Chapter hosted the Illinois State Day on September 9, 2016 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Frankfort, IL. Kay Stanis taught the project "Elegant Egg".
Indiana State Day
Pat Mazu taught "Diamonds in the Sky - Two Ornaments" on October 8, 2016 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Richmond, Indiana. Hosted by Richmond's Own Society of Embroiderers (R.O.S.E.)
