What is your EGA chapter doing
for outreach in 2011?

1.
Fort Wayne,
IN
taught a teen group at the Grabill Public Library to make bookmarks, name
tags and pins. All materials were donated by members or paid for from their
treasury.

2.
White Pine, MI
made a total of 206 knitted baby hats for the newborns at Covenant
Healthcare. These were turned in monthly.
|

3. Needle Arts Guild of
Toledo, OH made 50 Kissing Pillow tops and sent to Arizona guild to be
assembled. They also made and sent 836 needlework kits to Brooks Army
Medical Center.

4. Monguagon, MI set up a
needlework display at a local library.
|
|
5. Elkhart, IN
donated items to the women’s shelter.
|
Stitch-IN-Public The
following chapters have participated in a Stitch-in-Public day at least
once: Greater Milwaukee, Needle Arts of Toledo, Madison Area, South
Bend/Michiana.

6.
Youngstown, OH
made four
habitat for humanity samplers and presented each one at each homes
dedication.
Youngstown, OH taught ten 6th grade girls beginning cross
stitch. They have a pattern available for use.

7. Bookmarks stitched by the
members of the Mad River Valley OH chapter as part of EGA's literacy
outreach project donated to the Yellow Springs Library, OH. |
8. Kissing
Pillows for members of the military deployed overseas and their families,
stitched by Indianapolis Chapter as part of an ongoing project.

9. Susan Sobota, Jayson
Bower, and Debbie Schultz, Livingston Lakes MI chapter, delivering
gift bags for the patients at Ann Arbor's VA hospital in July 2010.
