Marshall
Chapter EGA: September 6-7, 2008 was our second annual needlework exhibit,
"A Tour of Stitches". This was held at the Marshall Public Library on the
same weekend as the famous Marshall (MI) Tour of Homes. For a small
chapter of 20 members we did very well to exhibit about 100 pieces of

Marshall Chapter: Our 2008 year long project was The
Legacy Sampler designed by the Madison Area EGA. The chart and
instructions are professionally done. Some members

NORTH COAST CHAPTER BANNER
Created
to display at the County Fair, the Rocky River Quilt Show, etc., the
banner was revealed at the May 2010 dinner. It was stitched and quilted
by: Christine Osberg, Dona Stovicek, Rose Wyar, Connie Kosick, Karyl
Kitchen and Kathy Miller. 15 chapter members contributed project
donations.

Mike
Farmer (new member of the North Coast Chapter as of July 2010) won two red
ribbons (2nd prize in class) at the Lorain County Fair. He entered two
needlepoint pieces, one in the general category and one "from chart." The
two pieces are "Gathered In," a Sandy Rodgers piece that was a Chapter
project in his ANG Chapter. The other is "Twister”, designed by Patricia
Spencer, was in a book from Nordic Needle.

At the Fall 2010 GLR meeting,
Needle Artisans of Northwest Indiana displayed a selection of
outreach projects developed and taught by chapter members at Camp
Quality Illinois. Items from the display span the decade of our
participation in this project. [OCT2010] |

GLR Regional Director gavel carved from Wisconsin cherry
wood. Notice that the head is a thimble and the
handle is a needle.
Mary Jo Prieve, GLR Director 1998-2000, commissioned
the gavel to be made by Land Bacon of Verona, Wisconsin. His wife,
Phyllis, is a member of the Madison Area Chapter, as is Mary Jo. [OCT2010]
