Try a
new
technique & hone your skills!

EGA offers many
Correspondence Courses (CC) in a variety of techniques. However,
if the enrollment is low, these classes may be not be feasible at
the chapter level. The GLR has budgeted funds allowing
participants to enroll in CC even if enrollment in a
selected course is relatively low. (Chapters may participate as
well.) The GLR GCC Coordinator serves as a liaison between
students and designers. You will not have a local group leader
and you will be stitching on your own.
Correspondence Courses are a wonderful opportunity to try out new
techniques or improve your mastery of your favorite type of
stitching at a reasonable cost. If your chapter cannot fill a Correspondence Course, the Great Lakes Region has budgeted
funds allowing participants to enroll in CC even if
enrollment in a selected course is relatively low. (Enrollment is
open to groups and chapters as well.) The GLR GCC Coordinator
serves as a liaison between students and designers/teachers. You
will not have a local group leader and you will be stitching on
your own.
Many exciting new classes are being offered for 2010 as well as
some outstanding perennials. Many techniques and all skill levels
are represented. For details including color photos of the
project, course content and the approximate cost of supplies,
please refer to the Correspondence Course section of the 2009-2010
Education Catalog attached to your December 2008 NeedleArts
magazine or visit the EGA website:

Chapter-sponsored workshops
Chapters offer workshops and
programs taught by local members and traveling teachers. If you are
not a member of EGA and wish to participate in any of these exciting
educational opportunities, we invite you to contact a chapter near
you.
